Welder / MIG / 2nd shift

We are looking for a MIG Welder for one of our clients.

This company is dedicated to the Design, Manufacturing and Installation of Automotive Parts, it is a very exciting, creative, hands on job, now looking to add another talented Welder to their team, this company also offers a great work environment and opportunity for advancement.

Shift: 2nd 2:30pm-11:00pm

Type of position: Permanent

Location: Warren, MI 48091

Requirements of the MIG/TIG Welder

• At least 6 months of experience as a MIG Welder or equivalent education
• Must pass a welding test and possess own welding equipment
• Must be able to start immediately
• Must be able to present at least one professional reference
• Must have reliable transportation
• Able to work off blue prints and other diagrams
• Pass drug screening and background check
• High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities of the MIG and TIG Welder

• Set up workstation with appropriate weld jig and check fixture according to the check sheet.
• Set the MIG/TIG welding system according to the Welding Procedure Specification.
• Read, understand and complete all paperwork.
• Follow setup instructions when setting up welders.
• Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on welding equipment to assure good and safe working condition.
