Truck Driver / Local

A manufacturing company, dedicated to the auto industry is looking to add a responsible, reliable and professional local truck driver to their team, the route is all around Warren, MI within a 30 mile radius, an ideal candidate will represent the company with its suppliers and customers with a friendly and professional personality

Work Schedule:

Monday Friday (32-40 hrs. per week)

Shift:

1st, 6am 2:30pm

Location:

Warren, MI 48091 (Mound Rd and 10 Mile area)

Salary:

$12.00 to $15.00 /hr

REQUIREMENTS:

• Chauffeur license
• Good driving record
• No recent driving violations
• Proven and recent work experience as a truck driver, this experience must be present on your resume

• Resume must show a stable work experience
• Pass drug screening and background check
• Must be able to start immediately
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to present at least one professional reference

• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

• High School diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift, carry and push and or pull up to 50 lbs
• Bend, twist and reach overhead frequently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants
• Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations)
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
