Tool Maker-Manual Machinist

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, availability to stay overtime, when needed.

Location: Warren, MI 48091

Currently looking for a Tool Maker-Manual Machinist for one of our clients, this company is dedicated to the tube and wire fabrication, experience in the tube and wire fabrication areas is a plus but not a requirement, general experience in the automotive industry will suffice.

Requirements of the Machine Maintenance Technician

• Must be familiar with tool making machines
• Experience with Manual Mill, Lathe, Service Grinder, Drill Press, Shaper
• Must have basic tools
• Must be able to read blue prints and complete to drawing
• At least 6 months of experience or equivalent education
• Must be able to start immediately
• Must be able to present at least one professional reference
• Must have reliable transportation
• Pass drug screening and background check
• High school Diploma or GED equivalent
• CNC Capabilities will be a plus

Responsibilities:

1) Fabrication of new tools, machines and processes and the maintenance of existing tools, machines and processes to insure timely production schedules and production start-ups (being able to read blue prints is a must).

2) Informs tool room/maintenance staff of priority changes.

3) Assist tool rom/maintenance engineering and production as required to maintain production or tool schedules.
