Shipping Clerk / Driver

JOB DETAILS

As a shipping assistant you will be responsible for monitoring the raw incoming material and the products delivered to clients

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments by checking them physically
• Organize packaging procedures to ensure safety of shipment
• Pull, Pack and ship the products
• Process customers' orders by ensuring that the right shipment is on its way
• Report any defective item prior to packaging
• Make sure that items are loaded onto shipment vehicle in a safe and timely manner
• Perform shipment receiving duties while ensuring the right item has been delivered
• Arrange for a carrier vehicle or pickup
• Deliver product to clients

REQUIREMENTS

• Chauffeurs License is a must
• Experience as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk or a direct position on the shipping and receiving department, will be a plus.
• Knowledge of power tools and hand-held tools will be a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting
• Hi-lo Certification will be a plus
• Must be able to start immediately
• Good computer skills
• Strongly oriented toward quality, safety and continuous improvement
• Safety conscious behavior.

Location: Warren Zip Code 48091

Shift: 1st shift 6:00am -4:30pm / Monday – Thursday, Fridays off

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift, carry and push and or pull up to 40lbs
• Work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate clothing
• Bend, twist and reach overhead frequently stand for 1-10 hrs per day
